We are looking for a highly driven individual that will supervise, train, motivate, and mentor approximately 20-40 production employees within the Galvanizing facility. Additionally, you will...* Implement and assign work schedule to maximize utilization of manpower, machines, and equipment* Defines expected production standards and monitors performance standards of assigned personnel* Observe assigned personnel to ensure the proper operation of assigned equipment* Ensure inspection checks and quality assurance are occurring to produce high quality products* Promote a continuous productivity improvement climate that encourages suggestions for operational improvement* Administer and support company policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner* Train new employees about divisional and organizational activities and safety policies and procedures**What it takes***Required Qualifications** Associate’s Degree from a tech school or two years of college* Two years of experience in a supervisory or management position* The ability to recognize hazardous substances and to know basic employee responsibilities for chemical safety* The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals* The ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues* Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results*Highly qualified candidates will also possess:** Five years of experience in a supervisory or management position* A proven record of supervisory experience and must have strong leadership* Strong leadership skills and the ability to support divisional business objectives* The ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner* The ability to calculate figures such as pay changes for employees, proportions and percentages, and product dimensions* A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook* Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills**Benefits**Valmont offers employees and their families a comprehensive Total Wellbeing benefit package to ensure their individual and family’s overall wellness needs are met.
