Base pay range

$80,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

The Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for an off-shift Shift Supervisor to support the production of materials and solutions for commercial aircraft, based in their NW Grand Rapids MI area manufacturing facility.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

This client is specifically seeking candidates with at least 4 years of US Military Leadership experience

At least 3 years of exceptional leadership skills are required. Must possess a fluid, inclusive style of leadership (empathetic, affirming, problem-solving).

Shift

• Not rotating. Off shift only. Options include: M-F, 2nd shift (6p-6a), M-F, 3rd shift (10p-10a). Weekends are 3/12s off shift. (F, Sat, Sun - or - Sat, Sun, Mon working 6p-6a or 10p-10a). Preferences can be stated.

Compensation

• $80K OTE ($70-75K base + 5% targeted bonus)

Responsibilities

• Direct and motivate manufacturing workforce to produce high-quality products efficiently and safely; ensure scheduling meets business and customer needs.
• Schedule production and work teams.
• Review reports, resolve operational issues, and prevent delays.
• Develop and implement new methods to improve operations, reduce costs, and optimize resource utilization.
• Conduct performance appraisals, manage staffing, and support career development.
• Coordinate with management, engineering, and quality control to resolve maintenance issues and improve operations.
• Ensure employee training on EHS rules and company policies.
• Mentor and train new supervisors.
• Maintain compliance with collective bargaining agreements and interface with union officials, handle grievances as needed.

Qualifications

Experience with scheduling, attendance, performance evaluations, KPIs, and metrics required. Degree preferred but not mandatory. Minimum 3+ years of exceptional leadership, with a fluid, inclusive style that is empathetic and problem-solving. Ability to lead teams of 20-30 workers.
