Job summary

Primanti Bros. in West Virginia is seeking a Shift Supervisor to support a clean, safe environment while maintaining high quality in beverages, food, and Fan service.

The role involves supervising day-to-day operations, training team members, and assisting with administrative duties and cash handling. A proactive leader will thrive in this fast-paced, guest-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write English.
• Verbal communication with Fans and Players.
• Stands/walks 100% of shift.
• Lifts up to 50lbs up to 20 times per shift with placement on high shelves.
• Works with open flame and in damp, hot environments.
• Uses sharp knives and utensils; may use slicers or other kitchen machinery.

Responsibilities

• Assists with ordering, receiving, inventory, and P&L controls.
• Trains potential Players.
• Provides direction to Players, evaluates, and coaches performance.
• Assists management with cash handling, deposits, and authorized comps/voids.
• Investigates and resolves food quality and service complaints.
• Oversees cleaning and maintenance to ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
• Leads by example and mentors team members.
• Works with management and Players, rectifying Fan complaints.
• Operates computer systems used in the restaurant.
• May perform duties of Service Assistant, Line Cook, Server, or Bartender.
• Performs other duties as requested by Coach.

SHIFT SUPERVISOR PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

Key Coaches support the Coach Team in all aspects of running a clean, safe environment while maintaining the highest quality standards with beverages, food, and Fan service.

SHIFT SUPERVISOR ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assists with multiple administrative duties including ordering, receiving, inventory, and P&L controls.
• Trains potential Players.
• Provides direction to Players, evaluates, and coaches their performance.
• Assists management team with daily financial responsibilities (cash handling, daily deposits, authorizes comps & voids, etc.).
• Investigates and resolves food quality and service complaints.
• Oversees cleaning and maintenance of equipment and facility to ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
• Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization. Leads by example and fosters mentoring relationships.
• Works effectively with management team and Players. Uses a high degree of initiative, judgement, and discretion. Rectifies any Fan complaints.
• Operates a computer and all associated hardware (MS Office, internet, LMS…) or systems.
• When needed, may perform the duties of a Service Assistant, Line Cook, Server, or Bartender.
• Performs other duties as needed per Coach request.

SHIFT SUPERVISOR QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to verbalize and clearly respond to Fans and Players.
• Stands/walks 100% of the shift.
• Reaches, bends, stoops, and wipes frequently.
• Lifts and carries up to 50lbs, up to 20 times per shift; places these items on high shelves and in walk-in cooler and/or freezer.
• Works frequently in damp, hot work environment.
• Works with an open flame.
• Uses sharp knives and utensils.
• May use slicers or other kitchen machinery.
• Ability to hold items with hands (knives, pans) for extended periods of time, with up to 5lb of weight.
