Job summary

Get n Go in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking an energetic retail supervisor to lead daily store operations, supervise staff, and deliver fast, friendly service.

You will handle cash, assist customers, train team members, manage shift duties, stock shelves, and uphold safety and sanitation rules while ensuring accurate reports and strong customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail experience required, preferably in a lead position.
• Great customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Able to communicate effectively with customers, employees, vendors and management.
• Able to perform basic math calculations to make correct change and complete shift reports.
• Able to process POS transactions efficiently and troubleshoot minor errors.
• Able to carry out daily bookkeeping procedures and bank deposits.
• Must have a valid driver's license and vehicle access.

Description

• Friendly and outgoing; willing to help customers and resolve complaints in a friendly and professional manner.

• Assertive leadership to assign and inspect elements listed on shift duty list.
• Responsive communication with the store management and associates assigned.
• Assure policies and safety rules and regulations are implemented and followed.
• Daily bookkeeping; bank deposits
• Is dependable and punctual.
• Process customer transactions.
• Participates in suggestive selling to customers.
• Monitors cash control procedures and cash drops; safeguards cash; completes shift reports.
• Clean store interior and exterior including, sweeping, mopping, wiping pick-up litter, clean and sanitize rest rooms.
• Stock shelves, coolers, displays both inside and outside.
• Follow guidelines for preparing food; operate food equipment. Follow food sanitation guidelines. Monitors safe temperatures; records waste.
• Maintains and follows safety procedures including fuel dispensing.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in retail environment required, preferably in a lead position.
• Great customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Able to communicate effectively with customers, employees, vendors and management. Able to read, write hear, clearly speak and understand the English language to be able
• Able to perform basic math calculations to make correct change to customer and accurately complete shift reports. Good accuracy and attention to detail. Able to multi-task.
• Able to processes all types of point of sale transactions efficiently and with minimal error; assist other employees troubleshoot and correct minor transaction errors.
• Able to perform daily bookkeeping procedures; troubleshoot and correct bookkeeping errors; take deposits to the bank.
• Able to carry, push/pull, reach and lift up to 50 pounds alone. Carry out trash containers and lift to place in outside bin. Occasional use of step ladder. Occasional bend, kneel, stoop, squat and reaching over shoulder height.
• Prolonged walking or standing for up to 8-10 continuous hours including but limited to a concrete or tile surface.
• Able to sweep/mop and maintain interior/exterior lots/ground and equipment; shovel snow.
• Able to work alone and/or with others; work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Able to enter and work in freezer and coolers at temperature of 10 degrees up to 30 minutes at a time.
• Able to tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.
• Must have valid driver’s license, have access to a vehicle and be able to provide documentation of auto insurance coverage on vehicle.
