Job summary

Chemtrade in Toledo, OH is seeking an Operations Team Leader/Shift Supervisor to provide on-shift supervision of operators and plant operations, troubleshoot equipment, review data daily, and ensure safe and efficient performance. You will monitor material use, production yields, and environmental compliance, assist in training, develop procedures, coordinate maintenance, and support budgets and schedules while driving safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Stationary Engineers license required.
  • 5+ years in industrial manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years leading teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, payroll systems, CMMS.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and direct production operations.
  • Provide technical training to operations personnel.
  • Track production and unit consumption rates and control costs.
  • Identify production improvements and modify work orders accordingly.
  • Assist Operations Manager in improving plant efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
  • Ensure regulatory, safety, and environmental training for staff.

**Position:**Operations Team Leader/Shift Supervisor**Primary Location:**Toledo, OH**Reports to:**Operations Manager**Compensation:**130k - 135k + benefits + overtime. They will troubleshoot and resolve equipment and operating problems and review operating data daily. They will monitor raw material utilization and production yields to ensure most efficient utilization of materials and optimization of quality products as well as ensure environmental compliance for all areas of operation; air, water, and solid. Support and participate in Responsible Care programs to maintain safe working conditions for employees and the environment. Prepare, update and review operation procedures to ensure safe and efficient operation of the facility. Coordinate operations and maintenance activities to meet department goals involving budgets, production schedules and raw materials consumption.QualificationsHigh school DiplomaMust have a Stationary Engineers license5+ years experience working within an industrial manufacturing environment2+ years experience leading/managing others, MS Office, Payroll system, CMMSStrong commitment to safetyMedical RequirementChemtrade is committed to the safety and health of its employees and the public.
