Job summary

Lindt & Sprüngli USA is seeking a Shift Supervisor for our store in Kittery, Maine. You will lead a small team, drive sales, and deliver a premium Lindt experience to customers each shift.

Responsibilities include meeting weekly, monthly, and annual sales plans, training staff, managing stock, cash handling, POS accuracy, and maintaining store standards. Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Proven sales background.
• Ability to take direction and delegate effectively.
• Basic math and/or accounting skills.

• Supervise staff to ensure sales goals – including key performance indicators, ADS, UPT, conversion, and other company sales standards – and external sales opportunities are achieved.
• Model Lindt standards through everyday activities (4 Moments of Influence, dress code, up‑selling, commitment, passion, sales focus, drive).
• Monitor and report stock levels to Store Management in a timely manner to avoid out of stocks, overstocks, and dated product.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

Sales

• Ensure the store meets or exceeds the weekly, monthly, and annual sales plan and consistently contributes to the district’s achievement of the sales plan.
• Communicate the store’s sales mission to staff in actionable terms.
• Assist each team member in developing an individual commitment to store sales results.
• Supervise staff to ensure sales goals – including key performance indicators, ADS, UPT, conversion, and other company sales standards – and external sales opportunities are achieved.
• Model Lindt standards through everyday activities (4 Moments of Influence, dress code, up‑selling, commitment, passion, sales focus, drive).
• Monitor and report stock levels to Store Management in a timely manner to avoid out of stocks, overstocks, and dated product.

Staff Development

• Support the Store Manager in training sales staff according to Lindt & Sprüngli guidelines and standards.
• Help train sales staff to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales and operations objectives.
• Assist with the development of staff sales techniques, ensuring solid product knowledge and accurate brand representation.
• Escalate issues to Store Management professionally and promptly.

Operational Controls

• Ensure the store meets company standards for operational controls and compliance.
• Maintain inventory control and shrink control procedures.
• Manage cash – including POS, paperwork, logs, policies, and procedures.
• Comply with all Quality Assurance policies and procedures.
• Maintain store cleanliness.

Qualifications & Requirements

Skills & Knowledge

• Proven sales background.
• Ability to take direction and delegate effectively.
• Basic math and/or accounting skills.

Experience

• Prior retail experience, preferably in a specialty retail environment.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and reach with arms.

Education

• High School Graduate or equivalent.

Other Requirements

• Must be available to work nights, weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays.

Compensation

$17–$18 per hour. Lindt USA’s salary range reflects market rates based on our size, revenue, and location. Starting pay is determined using a wide range of factors including job‑related skills, knowledge, and experience as well as market conditions. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive may be included as part of this compensation package.
