Minimum Qualifications

Experience

• Three years in law enforcment and/or security in a hospital setting.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a Security / Law Enforcement / Military organization environment.

Knowledge and Skills

Good verbal and written communication skills. Have excellent decision-making skills in complex and simple problem solving situations. Intermediate computer skills. Good driving record.

License/Certifications

• Valid California Guard Card.
• Valid California Drivers License and approval by the hospitals insurance company as insurable.
• American Heart Associations (AHA) BLS card for Healthcare workers (within 1 month of hire date/ transfer).
• Hospital approved workplace violence course (within 3 months of hire date/ transfer).
• HAZMAT certified (within 6 months of hire date/ transfer).
• A.H.S.S Basic Security Officer Certification (within 6 months of hire/ transfer).
• A.H.S.S Advance Security Officer Certification (within 12 months of hire/ transfer).
• I.A.H.S.S Supervisor training (within 18 months of hire date/ transfer).

Equipment

Hand-held Motorola radio, vehicles, and computers.

PAY RANGE

$23.00 - $34.25

Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
