Job summary

Binion's Gambling Hall is seeking a Room Chef to direct and support the Culinary and Sanitation teams on a specific shift. This role ensures service standards are met and that all food and beverage operations comply with Clark County Health Department standards.

The Room Chef will oversee scheduling, coach staff, enforce safety rules, and coordinate with management on shift coverage and guest satisfaction to uphold Binion's renowned experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-year experience as an Assistant Room Chef or Room Chef in a hotel operation.
• Ability to obtain all government / county required licenses or certificates.

Responsibilities

• Direct/support and enforce tasks from the Executive Chef for a specific shift.
• Oversee a shift of Culinary and Sanitation Department Team Members and coordinate their work.
• Ensure service standards and Clark County Health Department standards are met for all shifts.
• Maintain professional grooming and uniform standards; uphold safety rules.
• Attend meetings deemed necessary by management and ensure smooth shift transitions.
• Set schedules, assign duties, and manage staffing levels within budgeted constraints.
• Coach/counsel staff and enforce progressive discipline as needed.
• Communicate with supervisors and guests to address concerns and opportunities.
