Job summary

BD in Sumter, SC is seeking a manufacturing supervisor to oversee daily production activities and lead a team of technical and hourly associates on the shop floor.

You will drive quality, efficiency, and cost targets while ensuring safe operations and proper use of equipment and materials. The role requires a degree or equivalent and 2–3 years of manufacturing experience, plus 1–2 years of people leadership experience.

Job Description

Job Overview:

• Reports directly to the Departmental Lead Business Unit Leader.
• Facilitates the daily activities related to the manufacture of components and/or finished product in the department.
• Provides leadership and motivation to technical and hourly associates to achieve desired quality, quantity, service and cost standards through safe and proper utilization of materials and equipment.

Minimum Requirement

• Degree level qualification; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2-3 years manufacturig experience
• 1-2 years as a people leader or Team Lead

Work Environment

• BD is a smoke-free campus. Smoking and the use of electronic smoking devices, marijuana, or tobacco products are not allowed on BD property, grounds or in the parking areas. We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to this policy
• False eyelashes, press-on fingernails, and Jewelry is not allowed on the production floor including dermals. Any associate wearing dermals will be required to cover them while working on the production floor.
• Shoes are required to be Steel Toe and non-slip for all associates while on the production floor for safety purposes.
