Job summary

Accounting Search in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a Production Supervisor to organize and control plant manufacturing functions to assemble quality products efficiently and profitably. You will direct Team Leaders and production staff, ensure timely schedules, and report efficiencies to management.

The role emphasizes leadership, safety, and continuous improvement, with a focus on maintaining 5S housekeeping, quality standards, and effective communication across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills.
• Manufacturing experience including supervisory experience.
• Ability to create visual aids for communication purposes.
• Must be able to work an Off Shift.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise Team Leaders and all production Team Members to ensure correct, accurate, and timely completion of production and delivery schedules.
• Report plant labor operating efficiencies and machine utilization to the management staff.
• Conduct performance evaluations for the Production Supervisor position.
• Lead production in timely continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure standards for production, quality, and safety are met.
• Maintain a safe work environment and 5S housekeeping on the production floor.
• Assist in evaluating downtime and directing 8D corrective actions when issues arise.
• Coordinate staffing and scheduling of personnel to operate the lines with the Operations Manager.
• Resolve problems proactively and participate in meetings to improve operations.
• Institute safe work practices and respond to plant emergencies.
• Oversee training and development of supervisors, Team Leaders, and Technicians.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Control standards and promote the company’s reputation as a quality producer.
• Communicate and counsel with employees to maintain trust and integrity.
• Analyze production to identify improvements contributing to profitability.
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
