Job summary

Green Plains Inc. seeks a production supervisor to lead on-site production personnel across ethanol and co-products. You will direct daily plant activities, ensure operating parameters are met during your shift, and coordinate with maintenance for projects.

Key duties include training personnel, maintaining safety and regulatory compliance, documenting incidents, and keeping logs and inventories current. A focus on teamwork and proactive problem-solving is essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Ability to supervise others and monitor workflow.
• Ability to work well with others and independently.
• Good working knowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office.
• Understanding regulatory requirements of FRA, TTB and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, monitor and oversee daily tasks of the production team on site.
• Delegate duties and oversee operating procedures on shift.
• Assess causes and effects of operating changes and take action.
• Understand equipment and act on equipment failures when needed.
• Train personnel on procedures and inform them of changes.
• Develop training schedules and initiate work requests in CMMS.
• Ensure proper PPE use and adherence to safety regulations including LOTO.
• Document accidents/injuries and maintain logs/inventory sheets.
• Review logs, inventories and monthly reports before shift handover.
• Suggest disciplinary actions to the Operations/Plant Manager.
• Keep the plant in Tour Ready condition and oversee sanitation.
• Coordinate with maintenance to schedule projects.
• Assist Operations Manager with performance evaluations.
