Job summary

Owens & Minor is seeking a training-focused leader to support production assets by guiding the production teams and driving daily training activities. The role centers on hands-on leadership and coaching, with a 12-hour rotating schedule for days and nights.

An on-site exercise center is available as part of the facility. The position emphasizes training teammates, ensuring safety and quality, and coordinating shift transitions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Post-secondary education preferred.
• Two+ years of relevant experience or equivalent training.
• Strong safety and quality focus.
• Ability to troubleshoot process/equipment issues.
• Strong leadership and influence skills.
• Effective change agent.
• Ability to write/update training procedures.
• Self-motivated with willingness to develop others.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Bias for action.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively across the organization.
• Review training materials and module questions as teammates start training.
• Collaborate with the Shift Operations Leader to allocate labor.
• Ensure teammates are current with training and OMU.
• Coordinate work activities for smooth shift transitions.
• Partner with the Shift Operations Lead daily.
• Audit training records for operators on the floor.
• Run a module daily.
• Provide backup support in the Shift Leader's absence.
