Job summary

Owens & Minor is hiring immediately for a full-time 2nd Shift Safety and Training Coordinator. The role promotes safety and SOP compliance and maintains training records in the facility.

When not training, you will assist warehouse teams with various duties, including order picking or inbound/outbound work. Shift: 2nd Shift Monday–Friday with some weekend work; rate is $23.89 per hour plus shift differential.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years hands-on experience conducting safety and operational training for material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Proven ability to onboard new employees and deliver structured training programs aligning with SOPs and safety regulations.
• Experience evaluating trainee performance, performing training audits, and maintaining accurate training records for compliance.

Responsibilities

• Administers teammate onboarding training program and performs audits of training programs.
• Assigns and schedules required training for new/existing teammates.
• Uses meetings to communicate and emphasize safety initiatives and messages.
• Maintains all training records for regulatory and internal requirements.
• Works with individuals and groups to improve performance and standards within the facility.

We are hiring immediately for a full time 2nd Shift Safety and Training Coordinator. The Safety and Training Coordinator will promote safety and standard operating procedure compliance as well as administer and maintain records for all training within the facility. When the coordinator is not training or doing safety functions, they will be assisting the warehouse teams with other responsibilities including order picking or inbound/outbound work.

• Shift: 2nd Shift Monday- Friday (flexibility to work any shifts when needed is required (Some weekends required)
• Rate is $23.89 per hour plus shift differential

Core Job Responsibilities

• Administers teammate on-boarding training program and performs audits of training programs.
• Assigns and schedules required training for new/existing teammates.
• Uses various teammate meetings to communicate and emphasize safety initiatives and messages.
• Maintains all training records for required regulatory purposes and all training records for mandatory internally required classes/training.
• Works as a key resource with individuals and groups to improve performance and standards within the facility.
• Will assist warehouse staff with various responsibilities when not handling safety or training duties.
• Must have open availability to work 1st and 2nd shift.

Requirements

• At minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience conducting safety and operational training for material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) in a warehouse or distribution environment
• Proven ability to onboard new employees and deliver structured training programs that align with standard operating procedures and safety regulations
• Experience evaluating trainee performance, performing training audits, and maintaining accurate training records for compliance purposes
• This position is primarily hands on work and no more than 20% administrative duties
