Job summary

PCI Group is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager in Pineville, NC to oversee shift staffing, scheduling, and directing the production team to achieve quality and production goals in the safest possible manner.

You will work with other departments to maintain smooth operations, address issues promptly, and drive continuous improvement across the facility. This role requires strong supervisory experience and hands-on leadership on the production floor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Experience supervising in a mail facility or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Read and write English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Schedule shift production to meet goals.
• Address production problems with management.
• Report quality issues and deviations.
• Coordinate with other departments on production.
• Enforce quality standards and standard work.
• Promote continuous improvement among staff.
• Ensure orderly shift turnover.
• Communicate information to incoming management.
• Maintain a professional, safe work environment.
• Participate in projects to upgrade operations and equipment.
• Review daily production reports and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain staffing levels across shifts.
• Train staff to maintain qualified workforce.
• Foster team spirit and morale.
• Ensure adherence to company policies.
• Perform duties of other shift employees when needed.
• Partner with HR on staffing and training.
• Approve timecards and time-off requests.
