Job summary

Direct Marketing Solutions is seeking a Shift Manager in Pennsylvania to oversee the daily production workflow in the Production department, ensuring client jobs are produced on schedule within quality standards. You will monitor employee and machine performance, provide feedback to the Senior Production Manager and QA team, and coordinate machine staffing and job scheduling to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Three to five years' relevant experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite and various internet browsers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staffing and machine operation to meet the current production schedule.
• Regularly check for production schedule changes and adapt workflow and job priorities accordingly.
• Teach and coach employees on safety, quality and production efficiencies.
• Perform quality checks and verify proper safety procedures are in place.
• Schedule routine maintenance and document actions taken.
• Troubleshoot machines or coordinate with Maintenance Manager.
• Ensure department cleanliness and organization at all times.
• Review timesheets daily.
• Performs all duties of a Machine Operator when needed.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by Production Manager.
• Maintain communication with other departments throughout the day.
• Demonstrate behavior consistent with DMS Values and Code of Conduct.
• Adhere to all DMS policies and procedures at all times.
• Learn and adhere to Information Technology and data security policies and workplace health and safety rules.
• Complete all required compliance training on time.

Job description

This position monitors employee and machine performance, provides appropriate feedback to the Senior Production Manager and Quality Assurance Team; and coordinates machine staffing and job scheduling to ensure daily production goals are met.

Essential Functions

• Coordinates staffing and machine operation to meet current production schedule
• Regularly checks for production schedule changes and adapts workflow and job priorities accordingly
• Teaches and coaches employees on the importance of safety, quality and production efficiencies
• Performs quality checks and verifies proper safety procedures are in place
• Schedules routine maintenance and documents all actions taken
• Troubleshoots machines as needed or coordinates with Maintenance Manager
• Ensures Department cleanliness and organization is maintained at all times
• Reviews timesheets daily

Additional Responsibilities

• Performs all duties of a Machine Operator when needed

Manager duties

• Has Operators, Support Specialists, and Material Handlers as direct reports
• Level of supervision: Manager
• Provides regular and timely feedback on work quality and performance to all team members
• Conducts performance reviews, motivates team members and creates strategies to boost productivity
• Interviews and selects candidates to fill open spots on team using data
• Ensures employees adhere to company policies and legal regulations

Schedule

• Monday through Friday 2:30pm - 10:30pm
• Sunday through Thursday 10:30pm-6:30am
