Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. in Coshocton, OH is seeking an Operations Shift Manager to oversee daily operations at Coshocton Works, a stainless finishing operation and leading producer of flat rolled stainless steel.

You will supervise hourly bargaining unit employees, drive safety and quality initiatives, and implement company policies while emphasizing planning, organization, and prioritization to achieve productive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in a business environment.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, holidays and weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Administer company policies and procedures.
• Supervise and provide work direction to hourly bargaining unit employees.
• Participate and implement the safety program goals to ensure a safe work environment by conducting safety contacts, observations, meetings, and audits.
• Adhere to the Quality Policy to promote continuous improvement of our products, processes and services.
• Attain results through effective planning, organizing, controlling, and assignment of priorities.
• Maintain effective and consistent work performance, even under stress.
• Identify basic problems, gather information, and analyze effectively.
• Make decisions with a clear business focus on safety, quality, environmental, and productivity.
• Assist in development, review, and update of JHSA and QSOPs.
• Other duties as assigned
