We are seeking a Shift Manager who excels in a restaurant environment and aims to advance into management. Responsibilities
- Lead the restaurant during shifts to ensure excellent operations.
- Delegate duties, assign tasks, and prepare team members for each shift.
- Train and develop team members.
- Foster a team environment by recognizing achievements.
- Follow inventory control procedures.
- Adhere to Noodles & Company policies, including cash handling and safety/security protocols.
- Assist with labor cost management.
- Act with integrity and promote company culture.
- Maintain proficiency in all restaurant areas to assist as needed.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, including dining, restrooms, kitchen, and prep areas.
- Prepare the restaurant for each shift as part of the team.
- Manage time effectively to meet responsibilities.
- Create a positive environment for staff and guests.
- Greet guests warmly and ensure they feel welcome.
- Prepare food items such as noodles, salads, soups, and sandwiches.
- Ensure food quality, consistency, and timely preparation according to standards.
- Monitor food quality and temperatures, complying with HACCP regulations.
- Follow sanitation and safety procedures, including knife handling and equipment use.
- Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Adhere to appearance standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements
- Excellent guest service and communication skills.
- Ability to follow directions, delegate, and work in a fast-paced setting.
- Team-oriented, adaptable, dependable, with a strong work ethic.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Minimum age: 18, or 21 if required by alcohol laws.
Experience
- Previous management or leadership experience required.
- Customer service experience preferred, especially in restaurants.
