Steak ’n Shake is seeking a Shift Manager to lead daily restaurant operations, set up teams for success, and coach staff for peak performance. You’ll drive fast, friendly service while upholding cleanliness, food safety, and quality standards at a high-wage location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a supervisory, shift lead, or restaurant management role preferred.
• US work authorization is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations with energy, confidence, and accountability.
• Ensure strong openings and closings by setting up the team for success.
• Set the tone for the shift—motivate and coach team members for success.
• Deliver fast, friendly, and accurate service that exceeds guest expectations.
• Ensure all brand standards are met - cleanliness, food safety, and quality.
• Handle opening and closing duties, including key-holder responsibilities.
• Count drawers, manage deposits, and finalize end-of-day reports.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with guests and team members.
• Support training and onboarding of new team members.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented environment built on trust and respect.
• Step into any station as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
