Airport Location: Phoenix Airport F&B | Advertised Compensation: $21.06 to $25.74
Purpose:
The purpose of the Manager II (MGRII) position is to assist branch management in executing complex QSR, casual dine, or similar restaurant management operations. The MGRII ensures the restaurant is clean, ready for business, staffed, and operates to high standards. The MGRII uses prescribed policies and procedures to make management decisions.
Essential Functions:
- Complete opening, daily, and closing procedures/checklists according to company policies.
- Assist the GM/AGM in supervising daily activities of associates within one or multiple restaurants or points of sale.
- Ensure compliance with all company adult beverage policies and that staff understand and follow AB procedures.
- Participate in the interview process, provide input on hiring, and recommend personnel actions to the GM.
- Assign tasks, prepare schedules, and ensure all shifts are covered.
- Ensure associates take mandated rest and meal breaks.
- Maintain cleanliness, stock levels, and visual appeal of display areas.
- Ensure equipment is in good working order.
- Operate cash register, handle transactions securely, and follow cash handling policies.
- Monitor compliance with wellness and safety procedures, report concerns, and promote safety awareness.
- Perform health and safety activities as specified in the Manager’s Guide.
- Place orders, receive goods, and process invoices.
- Maintain current contact information for all restaurant associates.
Requirements:
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including opening, busy periods, and closing shifts.
- Knowledge of applicable sanitary, safety, health standards, and HACCP procedures.
Reporting and Work Environment:
- The position is classified as Non-Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
- Typically reports to the General Manager, Director of Operations, or a Multi-Unit Manager.
- Expected to work a varied schedule, including different days and hours to monitor operations.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 4 years of food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience.
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory or lead experience in a casual dine restaurant or kitchen.
- Ability to communicate effectively in instructions, policies, and with customers.
