Job summary

McCain Foods USA, Inc. in Burley, Idaho, is seeking a Shift Manager to organize, schedule, monitor and audit production line activities to ensure cost, quality, and safety targets are met. You will coordinate training, ensure SOP adherence, and drive continuous improvement across the shift.

The role requires leadership in cost and process optimization, strong problem-solving, and the ability to work with Supervisors and operators to maintain optimum line performance and product quality.

Qualifications

• Must be able to revise and update measurement requirements and procedures.
• Must be a self-starter and handle problems independently and proactively.
• Must adapt to change and promote positive working environments.
• Must have knowledge of personnel development.
• Must possess management skills including time, cost management, leadership and process optimization.

Responsibilities

• Formulate plans and objectives for departmental operations.
• Maintain high product quality meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
• Ensure adequate training for Shift Supervisors in management skills.
• Direct and consult with Supervisors on process attributes and equipment settings.
• Investigate and follow up on quality complaints and product safety issues.
• Prepare, distribute and follow up on factory and corporate reports.
• Coordinate plant activities to maximize total facility efficiency.
• Create an environment that encourages BOS in the department.
• Engage in SPC and continuous improvement initiatives as part of leadership.
