Job description

This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee and not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee holds a license to use McDonald’s logos and food products, but is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is solely responsible for employment matters at the restaurant, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling. McDonald’s USA has no control over or involvement in these employment decisions.

Responsibilities

Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience. A Shift Manager provides leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. Shift Managers perform a variety of tasks, which may include:

• Planning for each shift
• Monitoring performance during the shift
• Taking action to ensure the team meets McDonald’s standards
• Monitoring safety, security, and profitability
• Communicating with the next Shift Manager to prepare them for their shift
• Assisting the assigned Departments in meeting their goals

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.

• Passion for working in a fast‑paced environment.
• Must be 18 years or older to qualify as a manager.

Benefits

• Wage $20.13–20.63 per hour
• 1 week paid vacation based on average hours worked, after 1 year as a Manager
• Paid Sick Leave – earn 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked
