Job summary

Freebirds World Burrito is seeking a Shift Leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and leads by example. You will mentor team members, ensure adherence to recipes, and maintain high food quality standards.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role. Applicants should have prior leadership experience, be able to manage high-volume workload, and obtain a manager's food handlers certification upon hire.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience
• Ability to work at a fast pace and high-volume workload
• Deliver crave-able food through recipe adherence and food quality standards
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures
• The ability to empower and mentor the Tribe
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Must learn to cross-train in all positions
• Must get a manager's food handlers certification upon hire
• Able to withstand comfortably the physical demands of a retail environment.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift and carry items up to 70 lbs.
• Stand for extended periods (up to an entire shift)
• Bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull regularly for operations, stocking, and equipment use
• Use ladders occasionally
• Work in varying environments including hot kitchen areas and walk‑in coolers/freezers
• Communicate clearly with employees, guests, vendors, and leadership teams
