Job summary

RealTruck is seeking a Shift Manager to assist the Production Manager in planning, directing, and coordinating fabrication and assembly operations to deliver high-quality products on time.

The role oversees a shift crew at the warehouse, providing leadership to improve safety, quality, process efficiency, and labor deployment. Must have 5+ years in manufacturing and Lean training. 2nd shift: Mon-Thu 4:30pm-3:30am and Fridays as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Training in Lean manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production activities per THI Ecosystem expectations and escalate when targets aren’t met.
• Assign shift tasks and coach team members on policies and procedures.
• Lead A3/8D problem solving for safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with production planner and warehouse supervisor to align floor activities with the plan.

Job description

The Shift Manager will assist the Production Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate fabrication and assembly operations to effectively and profitably produce superior quality products and ensure on-time delivery. This position will oversee a shift crew at the warehouse and will provide leadership to improve safety, housekeeping, product quality, process efficiency, and labor deployment. This role will be responsible for hiring decisions, and a range of other workforce management activities.

This is for 2nd shift, Monday - Thursday 4:30pm - 3:30am and Fridays based on the Business needs.

CORE FUNCTIONS

• Overseeproduction activities. Ensure activitiesare being achieved in accordancetoTHI Ecosystem expectations. Follow escalation procedures to react when targets are not achieved across all shifts.
• Properly resolveproblems and troubleshoot issues as they arisepossiblywithout the direction of management.
• Assign team members with tasks to be completed each shift.
• Ensure all policies and procedures are followed and coach individuals when not in accordancetoour servant leadership approach.
• Lead A3/8D (problem solving) activities for key issues within production ranging from Safety, Quality, Productivity, Continuous Improvement, etc.
• Support Continuous Improvement efforts with targeted annual savings.
• Meet daily with production planner and warehouse supervisor to ensure activities on the floor for build are in line with plan. All issues that impact need to be escalated and clearly understood at all levels of the organization.

MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

• 5+ years ofmanufacturingexperience required.
• Training in Lean manufacturingrequired.

• Skilled in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to write, speak, and comprehend English.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
