Job Description:

Responsible for supporting the General Manager and Co-Manager in overseeing the profitability of one RaceTrac store during designated shifts. While leading the shift, you will continually deliver on RaceTrac’s mission of making lives simpler and more enjoyable through friendly service, food execution, cleanliness, talent leadership, and driving success.

Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service: Provide courteous, frictionless, and elevated experiences for guests.
2. Team Relations: Foster positive and professional relationships with co-workers and guests.
3. Communication & Teamwork: Communicate respectfully and maintain a team-oriented attitude.
4. Transaction Handling: Efficiently complete guest transactions at the cash register or self-checkout stations and suggest complementary products.
5. Guest Concerns: Address and resolve guest concerns promptly, involving regional team members as needed.

Food & Safety:

1. Monitor and adhere to all RaceTrac, federal, state, and local safety and food safety regulations.
2. Ensure all food offers are available and properly presented.

Cleanliness & Store Standards:

1. Maintain a clean and fully stocked store to enhance guest experience.
2. Execute shift duties, uphold presentation standards, and represent the RaceTrac brand.
3. Clean food preparation areas and equipment according to standards.

Talent Leadership:

1. Demonstrate RaceTrac's Core Values: Honesty, Efficiency, Positive Attitude, Respect, and Teamwork.
2. Display leadership qualities such as a servant-leader mentality, task prioritization, going the extra mile, listening, respectful communication, and proactive problem-solving.
3. Lead coaching, training, and assessment of direct reports, ensuring adherence to standards.
4. Provide feedback and performance recommendations to the General Manager.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or GED (in progress or completed).
2. 2-3 years of work experience preferred.
3. 1+ years of management experience preferred.
4. Experience in high-volume, guest-focused, transactional environments preferred.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Ability to take initiative.
7. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, and reach repeatedly.
8. May require obtaining and maintaining food handler and alcohol server permits, based on local requirements.
