Job summary

Subway Team is seeking a Shift Manager to focus on guest experience, food quality, cleanliness, inventory control, staff scheduling and teamwork. You will cascade training to Sandwich Artists and supervise shifts, ensuring operations run smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of restaurant experience.
• Must be able to work any restaurant area as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent guest experience.
• Assist with food preparation and serving.
• Keep the restaurant clean, functional and inviting.
• Control inventory and manage stock.
• Schedule and supervise restaurant staff.
• Operate the POS system and handle cash register.
• Complete paperwork as needed.

As part of the Subway® Team, you as a Shift Manager will focus on six main things:

In addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist®, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Practicing inventory control standards
• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
