Shift Manager – Injection Molding Manufacturing

Location: Orlando, FL | Shift: Night shift 7:00pm-7:30am

What You’ll Do

Lead & Develop Your Team

• Coach, mentor, and develop Operators, Floor Assistants, and Product Movers
• Drive engagement through recognition, feedback, and growth opportunities
• Support onboarding and training to ensure team success from day one
• Build a strong, inclusive, and high‑performing team culture

Drive Production & Performance

• Oversee daily shift operations in a plastic injection molding facility
• Ensure production meets safety, quality, and efficiency standards
• Balance staffing, schedules, and workloads to meet demand
• Lead continuous improvement efforts including scrap reduction and cycle efficiency
• Utilize lean tools (5S, process improvement) to optimize operations

Champion Safety & Accountability

• Lead by example and enforce safe work practices
• Quickly address safety concerns and ensure compliance
• Maintain a clean, organized, and audit‑ready production floor

Communicate & Collaborate

• Monitor production metrics and identify root causes of issues
• Partner with Maintenance, Quality, Shipping, and Planning teams
• Conduct shift handoffs and provide clear end‑of‑shift reporting
• Resolve team challenges with professionalism and urgency

What You Bring

• 3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
• Experience in injection molding (a plus)
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to manage people, priorities, and performance in a fast‑paced setting
• Basic technical understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel); JDE experience is a plus
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and lead diverse teams
