Job summary

The Wendy's Company is seeking a shift manager to guide crew members, assign tasks and ensure high quality service and food. You will coach, train and monitor safety practices, while handling open/close procedures and cost controls.

Applicants should meet minimum age requirements, be able to work legally in the United States, and have at least one year of restaurant or supervisory experience. Franchise variation applies.

Qualifications

• You will lead and coach crew team members with guidance, instruction and follow-through.
• You will ensure training and safety guidelines are followed on shift.

What you'll do

Shift managers play a vital role in our success as a business by assigning, directing, and following up on activities of Crew team members while also providing high quality service and food to our customers. Job responsibilities include providing guidance and coaching to crew team members, including assignment delegation, instruction, and follow-through. Shift managers ensure proper training for crew team members and maintain safe working conditions by ensuring that all safety guidelines are followed. To assist you in learning to be a successful part of our team, we offer on-the-job training and advancement opportunities.

This position does not include direct supervision of other employees, however Shift Managers do monitor tasks performed by crew team members to ensure product Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (QSC) as well as execute established cost control systems including proper food prep amounts, procedure execution, and bin chart usage to minimize food cost. Shift managers may also be responsible for opening or closing procedures.
