Job summary

Pollo Campero in Manassas, VA is seeking a Shift Manager to train, develop and lead the crew while ensuring a high-quality customer experience. You will plan shift duties, verify procedures, resolve issues, and assist the General Manager.

You will coach staff, participate in training, and ensure cleanliness, safety and hospitality during service. The role requires leadership potential, guest-first mindset, and flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ year of experience in similar roles or with customer experience.
• Demonstrates strong leadership potential by actively supporting team dynamics.
• Committed to guest satisfaction with a guest-first mindset.
• Preferred: Food Handlers Card/ ServSafe Certification
• Fluent in English & Spanish, able to work with computers.
• Ability to lift and push 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Flexible to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

The Shift Manger plays an important role in training, developing and leading the crew. Serves as a critical part of the leadership team, helping the restaurant serve the most flavorful chicken and coordinates a smooth end to end operation to provide an exceptional Customer Experience.

Responsibilities

• • Plan his/her duties and responsibilities for each shift
  • Verifies compliance of procedures and protocols
  • Attends and resolves problems as they appear in the restaurant operation
  • Assist the General Manager
  • Coach and lead a team with no supervision
  • Involves himself in the operational and technical training of employees
  • Maintain a positive atmosphere of teamwork and full of energy
  • Verifies customer satisfaction/Handles customer complaints
  • Applies a continuous improvement mindset to processes and procedures
  • Open/close restaurant
  • Assist with inventory (logging)
  • Assist with staffing needs
  • Assist with controllables and labor
  • Maintains overall sanitation, health, cleanliness, and safety standards for food preparation areas, cooking services, and dishes and utensils.
