Job summary

Buffalo Wild Wings, Inc. is seeking a Shift Manager to help the General Manager run daily shift operations and coach team members to deliver legendary guest experiences. You will supervise the restaurant on a shift basis, support staff across all stations, and lead pre/post shift meetings.

The role requires strong people management, guest service mindset, and a commitment to safety and compliance, with hands-on leadership and a focus on achieving labor and sales targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certified in state/local food handling requirements.
• Two years of restaurant or Buffalo Wild Wings experience preferred.

Responsibilities

POSITION PURPOSE

The Shift Manager position creates legendary experiences for guests by assisting the General Manager in managing shift operations, providing support and coaching to team members to ensure tasks are performed effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervises the operation of the restaurant on a shift-by-shift basis
• Provides support to team members, coaches team member behaviors and is hands on with all stations
• Conducts pre and post shift meetings
• Diligently follows food and general safety requirements and models behavior that protects them and others
• Completes all manager tools and administrative duties on time and with integrity
• Manages the balance of labor hours and service efficiency during their shift to meet labor guidelines without sacrificing guest service
• Supports execution of all sales building initiatives
• Assists the General Manager with interviewing, onboarding, training, development and retention of team members
• Stays current on all federal, state, local and company required training and certifications
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED

• Minimum 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified in any state, county or local food handling requirements

PREFERRED

• Minimum of two years of restaurant, quick service restaurant experience or Buffalo Wild Wings experience

This position requires frequent standing, sitting, bending, reaching, moving, stooping, stretching and lifting in a restaurant environment.
