Job summary

Taco Bueno in Oklahoma is seeking a Shift Leader to support daily restaurant operations and coaching of crew members. You will assist the General/Assistant Manager, supervise shift activities, and ensure high standards of service and efficiency.

Ideal candidates bring at least 1 year in QSR, strong leadership and communication skills, and the stamina to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. Join us to grow with a brand focused on quality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of QSR experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Familiarity with a POS system and ServSafe certification preferred.
• Availability to work during open hours (evenings, holidays, weekends).
• Strong team leadership and conflict-resolution skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Clear communication and team management abilities.
• Able to withstand physical demands of a restaurant.

Responsibilities

Job Descriptions

Our Shift Leaders are the key to operating our restaurants daily. You will help support the General and/or Assistant Manager, ensuring that every shift operates smoothly. You will also help team members through performance and training initiatives. Your ability to provide exceptional customer service will keep our customers coming back for more.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry is required.
• A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Familiarity with a POS system and ServSafe certification is preferred.
• Availability to work within open hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends).
• Strong knowledge of team leadership and positive conflict resolution.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Communication and team management abilities.
• Able to withstand the physical demands a restaurant environment holds.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift and carry items up to 70 lbs.
• Stand for extended periods (up to an entire shift)
• Bend, stoop, reach, push, pull regularly for operations, stocking, and equipment use
• Use ladders occasionally
• Work in varying environments including hot kitchen areas and walk‑in coolers/freezers
• Communicate clearly with employees, guests, vendors, and leadership teams
