Job Description:
Responsible for supporting the General Manager and Co-Manager in overseeing the profitability of one RaceTrac store during designated shifts. While leading the shift, you will continually deliver on RaceTrac’s mission of making lives simpler and more enjoyable through friendly service, food execution, cleanliness, talent leadership, and driving success. Daily pay is available with opt-in.
Responsibilities:
Friendly:
- Provide courteous, frictionless, and elevated experiences for guests.
- Foster positive and professional relationships with co-workers and guests.
- Communicate respectfully and maintain a team-oriented attitude.
- Efficiently complete guest transactions at the cash register or self-checkout stations and suggest complementary products.
- Address and resolve guest concerns on designated shifts with urgency, involving regional team members as needed.
Food:
- Direct, monitor, and adhere to all RaceTrac, federal, state, and local safety and food safety regulations.
- Ensure all food offers are available.
Clean:
- Maintain a clean and fully stocked store to provide an elevated guest experience.
- Execute shift duties, uphold presentation standards, and represent the RaceTrac brand.
- Clean food preparation areas and equipment to RaceTrac standards.
Leading Talent:
- Demonstrate RaceTrac's Core Values of Honesty, Efficiency, Positive Attitude, Respect, and Teamwork.
- Lead with a servant-leader mentality, prioritize tasks, go the extra mile for guests and team, listen, communicate respectfully, and proactively solve problems.
- Coach, train, and assess direct reports while adhering to operational standards.
- Provide feedback and recommendations on employee performance and development to the General Manager.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED in progress or completed.
- 2-3 years of work experience preferred.
- 1+ years of management experience preferred.
- Experience in high-volume, guest-focused, transactional environments preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Initiative taker.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and repeatedly bend, stand, and reach with minimal breaks.
- May need to obtain and maintain a food handler permit, based on local or state requirements.
- May need to obtain and maintain an alcohol server permit, based on local or state requirements.
