Job summary

McDonald’s in Amherst, VA is seeking a Shift Manager to lead a fast-paced team and ensure high standards of hospitality and food safety. You will coach crew, manage shift operations, and deliver top-notch guest experiences on mid, closing, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Prior leadership experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality preferred.

• Own the shift: Plan, position, and set targets to deliver results.
• Lead the team: Coach, train, and model correct procedures and hospitality.
• Protect food safety & quality: Enforce standards and verify routines.
• Deliver great guest experiences: Fast, accurate, friendly service—every order.
• Run a safe, clean restaurant: Verify cleanliness, maintenance, and security checks.
• Communicate & hand off: Brief the next Shift Manager for smooth transitions.
• Hit the numbers: Help your department and shift meet goals for service, quality, and profitability.
