Job summary

Sunny Glen Children's Home in Brownsville, TX seeks a Shift Leader for the Shelter program. The LYCW leads caretaking of Unaccompanied Children, coordinates daily intakes/discharges, and ensures accurate headcounts and communication across shifts.

You will mentor new staff, document in English and the child’s language as needed, and uphold Sunny Glen policies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Paycom, and Electronic Case Management is expected; bilingual English/Spanish is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum GED or High School Diploma required.
• Minimum 6 months as a shift lead in UC programs or related care.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Direct caretaking of Unaccompanied Children and supervise staff.
• Log information accurately in English and the child’s language.
• Oversee intake/discharge processes and mentor new staff.
• Ensure headcount accuracy and timely reporting during shifts.
• Uphold program policies and coordinate with leadership.
