The Barn Resort in Gettysburg, United States, seeks an Assistant Restaurant Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations during shifts and act as manager on duty in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. Starting at $22.00/hour with open availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities include leading the front-of-house team, ensuring service standards, coordinating with departments for events, and upholding safety and cash-handling procedures.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–3 years of restaurant or hospitality experience.
• Minimum of 6 months of leadership or shift-lead experience.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the Manager on Duty during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth restaurant operations.
• Lead, coach, and support front-of-house team members while fostering a positive work environment.
• Make real-time operational decisions to maintain service standards and efficiency.
• Ensure opening, shift change, and closing procedures are completed accurately and on time.
• Monitor staffing levels and adjust assignments to meet business demands.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and adherence to company standards throughout the restaurant.
• Deliver exceptional hospitality and ensure every guest receives outstanding service.
• Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly using guest recovery techniques.
• Empower team members to address guest needs while providing support for escalated issues.
• Monitor dining room operations to ensure service quality and guest satisfaction.
• Provide guidance and coaching to hourly team members during shifts.
• Address employee questions and performance issues professionally.
• Communicate staffing or performance concerns to the Restaurant Manager.
• Maintain effective communication with the Restaurant Manager regarding shift operations and guest concerns.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless events and daily operations.
• Maintain awareness of events, reservations, and group dining for staffing planning.
• Perform cash handling duties including cash drawer counts, deposits, and reconciliation.
• Ensure proper handling of payments, discounts, and voids.
• Complete required shift documentation and reports accurately.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.
• Promote a safe work environment and address hazards.
