Job summary

Shake Shack in Chicago is seeking a Restaurant Lead to manage shift flow, uphold safety and quality, and guide a team of hourly Team Members. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining fast, friendly service while coaching staff to deliver consistent guest experiences.

You will help recruit and develop staff, participate in interviews, and support operations such as purchasing and inventory when needed. The role offers growth within a fast-growing hospitality brand and a focus on people,

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of restaurant leadership experience supervising a team.
• Food Safety Certification according to local jurisdiction.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Manage the flow of service and direct the work of team members on a shift to ensure the highest levels of safety, cleanliness, quality, and speed.
• Help build and lead high performing team of hourly Team Members.
• May assist with operational support functions (i.e. Purchasing, Receiving, Inventory, etc.)
• Participates in applicant interviews and assists with employee relations.
