Job summary

Huck’s Market is seeking a Senior Associate to oversee shift operations, support the Store Manager, and uphold Best In Class standards while servicing customers promptly and courteously.

Responsibilities include managing staff shifts, cash handling, merchandising, maintenance, safety, and promoting the Huck’s Bucks Loyalty app. The role offers promotion opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package as part of a growing company.

Responsibilities

• Gives customers prompt and courteous service using the gasoline intercom and Best In Class standards
• Observes shift operating hours and helps fill shifts
• Works the store manager's days off and at least two evening shifts per week
• Performs tasks as assigned by the Store Manager
• Communicates effectively with associates and management
• Follows federal, state, and local laws relevant to store operation
• Proves a role model of conduct for associates
• Ensures cash and sales discrepancies are reported to Store Manager
• Completes a shift change report at shift start and end
• Records all hours worked by clocking in/out
• Rings all sales as per Policy Manual
• Records over rings and refunds accurately
• Completes daily paperwork and store deposits as directed
• Treats all associates with dignity and respect
• Advises Store Manager of personnel issues affecting performance
• Ensures all associate shift procedures are followed
• Maintains a safe shopping and working environment
• Handles cash and merchandise securely per policy
• Follows vendor check-in procedures
• Keeps coolers and displays stocked and fronted
• Maintains equipment and readies high-margin products
• Uses correct pricing as listed on policy guides
• Keeps store appearance aligned with company standards
• Floors are kept clean, waxed, and polished
• Store windows and glass are clean
• Parking lot kept clean and in good repair
• Restrooms are clean and functional
• Reports maintenance problems to the Store Manager
• Ensures sanitation procedures are followed in food areas
• Follows lifting procedures per policy
• Ensures ladders are used safely
• Uses wet floor signs as required
• Reports accidents promptly to store manager
• Promote the Huck’s Bucks Loyalty app to customers
• Explain benefits of sign-up and app usage
• Monitor transactions for misuse of points
• Assist customers on how to sign up and redeem discounts
