Sweetgreen is seeking a Shift Leader in Washington, DC to guide daily restaurant operations, mentor teammates, and ensure guests receive outstanding hospitality. Compensation is $21.74/hour with opportunities to advance toward General Manager within two years as part of our growth culture.

You will lead shifts, manage workflow, and step in at any station to demonstrate performance and teamwork while upholding food safety and operational standards.

• Have leadership or supervisory experience in restaurants, retail, or hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts with a hospitality-first mindset and make guests feel welcomed and heard.
• Manage pace, priorities, and execution to keep service running smoothly.
• Jump in on any station as needed and model strong performance and teamwork.
• Coach and support team members to elevate service, food quality, and standards.
• Uphold food safety, cleanliness, and organization on every shift.
• Communicate clearly, solve problems quickly, and stay calm under pressure during busy times.
