Typically, the Shift Leader works one to two weekends per month in management duties, and you will learn customer service, cash handling, stocking, and compliance with health and safety policies to ensure smooth store operation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Shift Leader is an entry-level developmental role.
• Prior convenience store experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Offer appropriate customer service.
• Greet all customers with a smile and hello.
• Suggest merchandise purchases to all customers.
• Learn and operate the cash register and required equipment with accuracy.
• Price, stock, and face merchandise; stock shelving and storage areas.
• Maintain product storage and rotation to avoid spoilage.
• Follow security and safety policies and procedures.
• Account for all shift and daily transactions.
• Present a neat and clean appearance; adhere to dress code.
• Complete required store paperwork accurately.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Store/ District Manager.
• Be responsible for cash and inventories in the absence of management.
• Report shortages/overages to the Store Manager immediately.
