Job summary

BD is seeking a Shift Leader to supervise manufacturing operations on the 3rd shift (Wed/Thu; Sat/Sun, 6pm–6am) at our USA TX El Paso facility.

You will lead production teams, drive safety, quality, delivery and productivity, ensure regulatory compliance (FDA, GMP, ISO 13485), and advance BD Excellence and continuous improvement initiatives. Bachelor’s degree preferred, with 3+ years of manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, business administration, industrial technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or FDA/GMP environments.
• Willingness to work across all manufacturing shifts and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day production activities to meet schedules and customer requirements.
• Monitor safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity performance indicators.
• Ensure staffing levels align with operational needs.
• Drive attainment of production targets while maintaining quality and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor line efficiencies, downtime, scrap, rework, and labor utilization.
• Ensure effective shift handoffs between production teams.
