Job Summary

Each day at Taziki’s is a little different. You may work opening or closing shifts. During an opening shift you help prep the store for lunch service, prepare catering orders, ensure food safety practices, give the team a pre‑shift briefing, and serve guests and take‑out orders. In the afternoon you manage shift change, help on the line, and prepare prep sheets for tomorrow. During a PM shift you support busy online ordering and dine‑in service, provide guidance to guests, and create prep sheets for the AM team.

Responsibilities

• Serving guests and making meaningful connections
• Opening and closing tasks
• Taking responsibility for the restaurant when a manager isn’t on duty
• Setting the tone for the shift and giving clear, calm directions to your team
• Mastering menu and product knowledge
• Supporting or working stations when needed (including kitchen)
• Prepping food and doing side work
• Following proper cash handling and payment procedures
• Maintaining Health Department Standards throughout each shift
• Following proper Alcohol Handling policies and procedures
• Ensuring proper food handling and storage of food products
• Maintaining proper hygiene, uniform, and appearance

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Prior food service experience preferred
• Leadership, guest service, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and balance multiple tasks
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to policies and procedures
• Energetic, ready to learn, loves fresh food

• Must have or obtain a Food Manager’s certification shortly after beginning employment

Working Conditions / Hours

• Morning shift: 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
• Evenings: 4 p.m. – 10 p.m.
• Weekends and holidays (fire closed on Thanksgiving & Christmas) as applicable.

Hours will vary by store.
