Job summary

Teknor Apex is seeking a Manufacturing Team Leader to drive safety and daily operations on a 3rd shift, with coverage on 1st and 2nd shifts as needed. You will oversee equipment efficiency, troubleshoot production issues, and coordinate training for crew members.

The role requires to lead continuous improvement, maintain 6S standards, and ensure timely issue investigations while working with a diverse team of operators and supervisors in a demanding manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of Manufacturing experience required; leadership experience a plus.
• Willing to work 3rd shift and cover 1st & 2nd shift crew leaders when off.
• Must have a general understanding of the operational process.
• Ability to train operators and certify as Trainer.
• Must be able to drive a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Drive safety daily.
• Maintain maximum equipment efficiency for productivity.
• Troubleshoot quality or operational issues and assist team members.
• Identify and address training needs with the training supervisor.
• Coordinate with leaders during shift changes.
• Complete data entry and recordkeeping tasks accurately.
• Identify and investigate quality issues timely.
• Serve as backup to team members and shift leader.
• Lead continuous improvement projects and activities.
• Educate and train team on safety topics.
• Maintain 6S housekeeping standards.
• Identify quality issues and meet productivity standards.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Perform related responsibilities as required.
