Shift Differential for Closing Shift Leaders
Role:
Support the RGM by running great shifts in a self-sufficient manner. Take ownership and responsibility to solve problems; seek help from others when appropriate; and be willing to provide help and guidance to others.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Ensuring Consistent Customer Satisfaction
- Execute the MIC (Manager-In-Charge) Success Routine and ensure responsibilities under People, Customers and Service are completed.
- Ensure that all Team Members complete their Shift Excellence tasks for their assigned position(s).
- Ensure that all employees present a neat, clean appearance and wear the company uniform.
- Personally demonstrate that customer needs are the highest priority.
- Ensure food safety, quality, and accuracy of orders.
- Resolve customer complaints quickly while maintaining positive customer relations.
- Greet customers with a smile, be polite and pleasant when speaking with customers.
- Work with urgency.
- Collaborate with management and fellow employees.
- Cooperate with peers—work as part of a team, helping others when needed.
- Demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic attitude with co-workers.
Attendance:
- Understand posted work schedule and report to work as scheduled, on time, in uniform, and ready to begin tasks. Provide appropriate notice when unable to be at work.
- Use the approved timekeeping system accurately, recording all hours worked.
Initiative and Energy:
- Take action proactively, go beyond what is simply required, and maintain a high activity level.
Developing People:
- Provide regular feedback to the RGM on the performance of Team Members.
- Offer ongoing constructive and positive feedback to Team Members.
- Participate actively in the training of Team Members.
- Handle conflicts constructively and work with RGM to resolve issues.
Act Like an Owner Assistance:
- Manage Profit and Loss by following cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, and managing labor.
- Oversee proper food preparation, rotation, portioning, cooking, and holding times.
- Assist RGM with facility maintenance and ensure health and safety standards are followed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Job Requirements and Essential Functions:
- Preference for internal promotion from Hourly Champion position.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Background checks are required for all management employees.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Basic business math skills.
- Ability to stock shelves and coolers.
- Ability to oversee and manage subordinate employees and provide direction.
- Ability to sweep and mop floors, dust shelves, and lift/carry trash containers.
- Ability to clean the parking lot and surrounding grounds.
- Capable of walking and lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for 90% of the shift.
