Job summary

A&W Restaurants is seeking a Team Leader in Lexington, KY to help manage daily restaurant operations. The role supports the Restaurant General Manager and leads Team Members to deliver high-quality food and engaging service in a clean, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include directing shifts, coaching staff, and ensuring safety, policy compliance, and accurate records. This hourly, non-exempt position requires flexible availability for opening/closing shifts and guest-focused

Qualifications

• Experience in food service is required.
• Knowledge of food safety guidelines.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Effective communication, both written and in speech.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Flexibility to work opening and closing shifts.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Works in various positions as needed during shift in addition to Supervisor duties.
• Directs Team Member activities to maintain speed of service and cleanliness; organizes opening, shift changes and closing duties.
• Monitors Team Member productivity and provides coaching to improve performance.
• Follows company policies; maintains safe working environment and cash-handling procedures.
• Assists in orientation and training of new Team Members; recommends training needs to RGM.
• Serves as a role model by developing positive relationships and engaging guest service.
• Resolves guest complaints and follows up to ensure satisfaction; works with RGM on service improvements.
• Communicates effectively between RGM and Team Members as needed.
• Assists RGM in inventory, ordering, deposits, HAACP records, and labor/financial records.
• Sets standard for attendance and punctuality; ensures safety and security of staff and assets.
