Job summary

Pizza Hut is seeking a dependable Shift Manager to lead day-to-day restaurant operations, ensure quality food and service, and maintain food safety and cleanliness. You will oversee shift execution, deploy staff, and coach teammates to uphold brand standards.

Applicants should have restaurant or customer-service experience and strong leadership and communication skills. The role offers hourly pay and opportunities for advancement within the Pizza Hut system.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, retail, or customer-service experience preferred.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and provide direction and support to team members throughout the shift.
• Assign positions and deploy team members based on business needs.
• Ensure every guest receives fast, friendly, and accurate service.
• Maintain Pizza Hut standards for food quality, preparation, order accuracy, and presentation.
• Monitor speed of service and adjust team deployment as needed.
• Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, temperature control, and food safety procedures are followed.
• Complete required food safety and temperature logs accurately, honestly, and on time.
• Immediately address and communicate any food safety concerns.
• Ensure opening, closing, and shift-change procedures are completed properly.
• Manage cash handling, register procedures, deposits, and assigned financial controls.
• Monitor product levels and ensure proper stocking, rotation, and inventory procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe restaurant for guests and employees.
• Coach team members in the moment and reinforce company policies and operating standards.
• Help train and develop new and existing team members.
• Communicate equipment, maintenance, staffing, food safety, and operational concerns to restaurant management.
• Monitor labor and staffing during assigned shifts.
• Help control food waste and ensure proper portioning and product handling.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and work to resolve issues quickly.
• Create a positive, respectful, and accountable workplace.
• Support delivery, kitchen, front counter, and other restaurant positions as needed.
