Job summary

MFA Petroleum Company is seeking a Break Time Shift Leader to assist with daily store operations, supervision, and finances. You will help ensure accurate cashiering, inventory, and compliance with food service standards, while delivering friendly, fast service to customers.

The role emphasizes teamwork, merchandising, and operating POS technology. It requires leadership ability, reliability, and a willingness to work flexible hours in a fast-paced convenience-store setting.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Friendly, customer service-oriented person in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance with access to a bank vehicle
• Flexible availability including all shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Works well individually and in leading a team
• Ability to perform math to make change and balance shift reports
• Ability to learn new concepts and operate a computer
• Ability to perform duties accurately with minimal supervision
• Physical ability to move and position items in cooler/freezer
• Stand for up to nine hours per shift; ascend/descend ladders as needed
• English language proficiency to communicate with customers and staff
• Meet company requirements including pre-employment background check and drug test
• Legal authorization to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and greet customers
• Assist in daily store operations, banking, inventory, and reporting
• Support merchandising, promotions, and pricing, and keep shelves stocked
• Supervise shifts in the manager’s absence and train new staff
• Maintain professional communication with customers, vendors, and team
• Assist with cash handling, audits, and loss prevention
• Contribute to safety and food service standards
• Operate point of sale systems and other technology
• Adhere to company policies and duties as assigned
