Job summary

FiveStar in Kentucky is seeking a Shift Leader to partner with the store management team on assigned shifts, helping with Customer Service, Food Service, and marketing initiatives. You will help train and direct the customer service representatives as you learn basic management duties.

You will ensure operations run smoothly, support inventory control, safety guidelines, merchandising, and communicate updates via emails and store programs, while promoting the FiveStar experience to customers.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in all customer service representative job responsibilities.
• Promotes FiveStar treatment (friendly atmosphere, customer’s needs met, suggestive selling).
• Partners with FiveStar team to provide customers with service as outlined by the company’s policies and procedures.
• Assists in timely and thorough training of customer service representatives.
• Assists in educating store team on policies and communications.
• Assist store management team in ensuring inventory control methods are in place, equipment is in good condition, and safety and robbery prevention guidelines are in place.
• Partners with store management team to assure quality food operation.
• Follows-up with store employees on communications, up to and including emails, weekly and monthly specials, companywide programs.
• Responsible for Merchandising up to and including evaluating displays, pricing, promotional signage.
• Educate store employees.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work on different shifts (a.m., p.m., overnight), weekends, and holidays.
• Daily standing, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, squatting, climbing, walking, lifting (up to 55 lbs.), working in cold indoor environments (35 degrees or less), and food service preparation.
• Ability to work in varying seasonal weather conditions.
