A Shift Leader is responsible for supporting the management team. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Coaching staff to deliver excellent customer service
  • Producing high-quality food
  • Delivering the Jersey Mike's experience
  • Cash handling
  • Following the Learning Management System Training Program
  • Developing others for career growth
  • Enforcing policies and procedures
  • Maintaining cleanliness and proper sanitation practices
  • Being certified in all four positions of the restaurant

A Shift Leader is expected to:

  • Move or transport up to 50 lbs without assistance unless a medical notation is provided, with accommodations for disabilities as per ADA or a temporary doctor's note
  • Work 38-40 hours per week
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Lead by example in food quality, customer interaction, and appearance in a clean, fitted uniform daily

Create food consistent with Jersey Mikes' high standards.

  • Maintain a noticeably cleaner restaurant environment than others
  • Work in a fast-paced, team-driven atmosphere
  • Multitask effectively and work with a sense of urgency
  • Interface with customers to provide an exceptional experience
  • Perform all opening and closing tasks
  • Manage and lead a crew of 2 to 5 people per shift

Qualifications for the Job:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year QSR experience preferred
  • Must be 18+ to operate the slicer
  • Serve Safe Certification - Preferred
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
