Description

Position Summary: Shift Leaders provide direct supervision and ensure all crew members work efficiently and effectively during their shift. They do not have a minimum hour requirement.

Primary Responsibilities

The following duties are representative but not exhaustive:

• Ensure all crew members are actively working at their stations, regulate workflow, and reassign crew as needed.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly, determine if customer credit is necessary, and document decisions for audits.
• Meet guest needs by ensuring timely food prep, accurate delivery times, and courteous guest interactions.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards, including proper glove use, cleanliness, and proper food storage.
• Verify crew adherence to uniform and safety guidelines.
• Perform shift tasks such as cash handling, deposits, and end-of-shift activities.
• Ensure safety and security of crew, guests, and assets, including securing the premises after hours.
• Assist with administrative tasks like scheduling, ordering, and inventory.
• Support in training and developing crew members.

Experience/Education & Certification

• Must pass the Mazzio’s Comp 1 Test before managing a shift.
• May require Food Handler’s permit, Sanitation Certification, or other permits as per local laws.
• Preferred valid driver’s license with insurance and a clean driving record.

Physical Demands

• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
• Work involves standing, walking, and occasional lifting or reaching.

Working Conditions

• Primarily indoor environment with exposure to heat and humidity.

Tools and Equipment

• Includes cash registers, ovens, calculators, and other kitchen and office equipment.
