Modern Market Eatery is seeking an experienced Shift Leader to help run daily operations in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. You will supervise shifts, enforce quality and service standards, and support opening/closing procedures in a team-driven setting.

You’ll guide staff across stations, ensure breaks, and coordinate tasks to maintain smooth service. This role rewards initiative, reliability, and strong guest service skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of restaurant shift leader experience.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Food handlers and alcohol service training preferred.
• Ability to coordinate work of self and others.
• Ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the cleanliness of the restaurant and delegate side work tasks.
• Continually monitor food and food quality.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as the manager in charge.
• Run the shift while ensuring breaks are taken on time.
• Work all stations and adapt to where you are most needed.

• Ensure the cleanliness of the restaurant and delegate side work tasks
• Continually monitor our food and food quality
• Properly perform opening and closing procedures as the manager in charge of those shifts
• Run the shift while making sure that all employees are taking their given / mandatory breaks at the appropriate time throughout the day
• Work all stations in the restaurant while recognizing where you are most needed at a given time
• Assist Manager with other duties as needed

• This position is paid hourly and is eligible for overtime in accordance with laws applicable to the work location.
• This position is eligible to participate in Tip sharing! This benefit can add upwards of $2 / hour additional pay and is paid out each pay period.
