Job summary

Modern Market Eatery in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Shift Leader to guide daily operations and guest service in a fast-paced, open-kitchen setting. You will oversee shifts, ensure cleanliness, quality, and proper break schedules while supporting the manager with daily duties.

The role requires at least 6 months of shift-leader experience, strong communication, and comfort with multitasking in a busy restaurant environment. Benefits and growth opportunities are available.

Responsibilities

• Run the shift while ensuring breaks are taken at the right times.
• Work all stations as needed and assist the manager with other duties.

We love food and we love providing an excellent guest experience to each person that walks through our door. We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic Shift Leaders to join our team.

• Ensure the cleanliness of the restaurant and delegate side work tasks
• Continually monitor our food and food quality
• Properly perform opening and closing procedures as the manager in charge of those shifts
• Run the shift while making sure that all employees are taking their given / mandatory breaks at the appropriate time throughout the day
• Work all stations in the restaurant while recognizing where you are most needed at a given time
• Assist Manager with other duties as needed

• This position is paid hourly and is eligible for overtime in accordance with laws applicable to the work location.
• This position is eligible to participate in Tip sharing! This benefit can add upwards of $2 / hour additional pay and is paid out each pay period.
